¤A red haired man hoped out of the orange truck, walkiing back to the trailer. He opened the back door of the stock trailer, letting out a dapple gray mare, or would be. The horse was skinny, coat dull, eyes lifeless. The man began o lead the horse in the stable but she stopped. He yelled at her, smacking her with the lead rope on her shoulder. The mare jumped forward, scared to death. He yelled again, yanking on the lead rope. She stood quietly, eyes wide with fear. "Calm down you screwy beast." He yanked on the lead again, putting her in a stall. She hid back in a corner, trying to get away from the man. He grumbled, throwing the halter over the door while he went to go get the other horse in the trailer. He led it out slowly, the huge horse's body towering over his. The light bay coat too was dull and he too was skinny and un-shod. He danced about, throwing his head up into the sky, lifting the man off the ground. "HEY!! GET THAT HEAD OF YOURS TO THE GROUND!" The horse jumped, lowering his head, allowing himself to be led into another stall. He whinnied in fear, not liking that he could not see his friend. The man threw the halter over the door, it slipping to the ground unnoticed. He grumbled back to his truck, driving away and leaving no food for the two horses. The two horse's whinnies could be heard calling back and forth for many hours until they gave up, trying instead to scout out a few blades of hay¤
