1. Absolutely! Whenever I listen to "Jerk it Out" by the Caesars, it makes my body soar. In contrast, if I listen to "A Lack of Color" by Death Cab for Cutie, I feel a little sad. If I listen to some Slayer, I tend to freak out and start a moshpit amongst a bunch of unmotivated white people. Music totally has a nousishment value that makes you want to do things you would normally not do in a world without a soundtrack.
2. Music can bring better health to your mind in the simplest way possible, just listen. If you are sad, you're sad, listen to some Bright Eyes. It makes you feel better! You wake up and smell the preverbial roses, the birds sing and you see the light. If you feel like dancing in your car, listen to 89.5, the techno station, it always makes you move. You just feel happy when you are listening to music, you don't listen to music to feel bad, you listen because either you want to distract yourself or want to feel better.
3. Music can damage the can be disastorous because if you listen to too much deathmetal, your brain will explode. Too much happy go lucky music, you will want to run away and start a Spice Girls Memorial group. Too much indie music, and you will be awesome. Music can damage the soul, but only if you listen to too much bad music.
4. Both, hands down. If you don't nourish the mind, the body won't respond to sweet dance neurons traveling to your extremeties. If you don't nourish the body, the mind won't know to send sweet dance move impulses to the extremeties. It would turn into a vicious cycle of non-dancing and you would feel horrible all the time.
