1. Maby the primitive style cause the teens to act out as Dr. A. A. Brill said. But also need for individuality that I know that teens now seek.
2. Yes, the might just be racially motivated because Archbishop Beckman of New York made a refrence to cannibels and savages that he might mean african americans.
3. Dr. A. A. Brill says that swing Swing music represents our regression to the primitive tom-tom-tom, a rhythmic sound that pleases savages and children. . . . It acts as a narcotic and makes them forget reality. They forget the Depression, the loss of their jobs. . . . It is like taking a drug." and i think this is so possible because i know that trance music now a day induces a sort of mindless state in which all we want to do is dance. The lyrics in special d- come with me (a trance song) express this:
"The speakersystem brings the sound
And light effects are spinninīround
All the people on the floor
They shake their bodies and cry for more
Never let this feeling go
And let the musik take control
Forget your problems and feel free
Enjoy this moment come with me"
4. I disagree with all the above qoutees. I think that this music is way tame. Mabey if I did not live in an age of freak dancing I would think diffrently.
3. They can be over exagerated in their qoutes and use unessisary word like savage and cannible.
