In reply to: Mr. Moore 's message, "The Beatles - Growing Up" on 08:20:01 12/07/07 Fri

1. the songs during the beginning of their career were very simple and followed exactly the form of a pop song being 2 minutes and 30 seconds. the format of their songs started as the AABA format but at the end of their career started to try out different things just like in "Lucy in the sky" that followed A A+1 B. the instrumentation also followed a pattern of being very simple at the beginning then changing with each song during the end.

2. the lyrics of their early songs had to do more with hope of being young, the joy in life, the love they wished for. and in the end of their career the lyrics turned to be more poetic and trying to get an image across through their poetic imagery.

3. i feel that "Eleanor Rigby" was considered a rock song because the fact of who was playing the song. the Beatles also had a way of performing the song to make it sound more rock than classical which it would have if anyone else played the song.

4. i like the Beatles era near the middle because they still had pop inside the lyrics and making of their music but they also started trying to make songs that reflected that life was not perfect and that there were many challenges but they did not allow their songs to get too off topic of life.
