1. the Beatles sound went through huge changes as time passed. The early albums of the BEatles were poppy and featured usual rock instrumentation. later on in their career their sound changed to psychadelic and the instrumentation featured different instruments, such as a sitar. Their sound became more experimental and they pushed the boundries of rock music. Examples of this are song length, lyrical poetry, and song length.

2. The lyrical content of the Beatles changed with their sound. Their early lyrcis were poppy and simple, but as time went by (and drugs were added) their lyrics became more symbolic and less easy to understand. Their lyrics became more poetic and some song lyrics were made specifically made to be analyzed (I am the walrus).

3. Elenor Rigby is a rock song because it was written by the Beatles and contains some elements of rock, mainly in the singing. although the instrumentation and style of the music are not typical of rock songs, Elenor rigby is still a rock song, because it was written by the Beatles, and was on a rock album that was meant to be experimental (revolver)

4. I personally dont have a favorite era of the Beatles. it usually varies or depends on my mood. However, most of the time my favorite Beatles era is the experimental era, mainly because of the White Album and Sergent Peppers.
