Where the muse echoed in transient
salutations, I wept with midnight

Oh, the glistening fall of snowflake!

See the webs of time, splayed in poignant
heartbeats...ka-thump, ka-thump, ka-thump
against the wall of undeniable ache; mine

spun to the land-locked hull of heart
it's a lost and lonely shore where I lay,
dry-docked; no oceans beckon

Winter has come...
