] Date Posted: 18:56:08 12/23/07 Sun You could lick the night with silver tongue to send me there one stroke at a time but it wouldn't be enough to hide the shapes of grief you carved into midnight skin your truth, so freely spilled from tired and aching veins, bled warm to tainted ears, still searching for the cure for life, but begging for one last roll in the devil's bed you stole my breath as your heart pumped & purged onto my broken shoulder and I inhaled your words even as they dripped, burned, and you tattooed your sun to my aching moon then you left me... beneath the black & blue of night grateful for the winds that broke my back and in that moment I wondered, how could I stand strong enough to carry the load, without a spine? © Sasha '04 . Date Posted: 18:58:22 12/23/07 Sun Sash, re-reading this one and the revisions made, I was taken by the shift in your writing since this penning. When I first read it I thought it great of course, but now, with the passing of time, it is clear to see the 'new' you within the pen, a fuller, much more textured pen. Leaving this phase of you behind, has brought us a much more gifted Sasha. You will always be, Peace and hugs, Paul . [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
