The Curiosity

Piercing screams peter out,
spattered intermittently through their morbid whispers,
the screams quiescing my dull thud as the torturous convulsions of me
married to the convoluting breeze around me cease.
In that moment, the biting burning tender dispersion
Of my person succumbs to an assuaging heat.
My last

A prodigal laughter weaves through irascible pulsating emotions
Tingling its essence -my being- through the shattered bones.
And it’s funny how
It’s funny HOW
It’s FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY HOW
I can still see a sea of wavering faces
Signing torso crosses singing plea’s of absolution from silent lips
They wondering an imprint of a person knowing them from the pavement
Knowing what lies behind the façade of faces.

One, two, three,
Off mankind’s rectilinel profile
One, two, three!
Off the scrapers of the sky
The sky hidden from me by queasy hazed incarnate facades.
Encircled and ensconced for decency’s sake
To protect the delicate in the buzzard eyed mill
Those who would stare intent and in awe of me
This briefly entrancing atrocity

GO!
Go back to your rooms you churned face amorphisms
And wallow in the institutional dogma I dogmatically refute as rot
Oh to be a convenient classification
In an orderly room with a plate on the door
Reading ‘Astronomical salary that befits a modern lady’
Or ‘Nice young mother bringing up baby’
or or,
or Or,
Or OR,
Or OR,
OR OR!
Here I lie, this vulgarity with scissored legs displaying suggestive profanity
To an edifice of neat little rooms with plates on the door.
Where lies its edification?

Why free?
Why free to choose our prisons in this society with its impositions
That are the shakles in those prisons
That wash the spirit in distrust
Of which no man disgusts
Save for those in angst with morals
Without a guide to splice the ironic tectonics
And unveil the crux!
In this manmade world where lies the crux!
Where lies the crux?

Manmade lives have no argument
Are one
Aren’t heaven sent
And should suffer in the
Inconsistencies of manmade for all eternity

I feel my freedom
I know it is hell
I saw no other choice
I know now I am wrong….

If could make a video of this with you giving it everything you've got walking around central London we would probably get arrested but it would be one hell of a vid.

Max,

You really give it up here!

Bravo!

Love the voice and the cool use of language
that your poems always seem to deliver.

Well Done!

thanks,

Hello Andy

My take on a college friend who did this. I knew her views, and her thoughts, just unfortunately not her state of mind. Tried to articulate the anger and frustration she felt.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and for your wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated.

Max
