I tried to find out what will happen to my 30-day card when the fare increase goes into effect. I contacted the MTA directly and all they can tell me is:

There will be a grace period (but they won't tell me how long or how it will be applied).
After the grace period commuters will be able to send in their unlimited card for credit toward a new card.
They don't have all the details worked out yet but we should check their website regularly for updates.

HELLO? It's almost the end of February and the beginning of March! I have a 30-day card that doesn't expire until well past the middle of March! I need answers!

Who's the brilliant genius who figured all of this out and why do I believe I'm about to get a third rail right where it shouldn't be?

I don't want replies. I want answers. Does anybody in the MTA know the difference?
