In reply to: Knocker 's message, "Q22 Bus Number 3584 March 6, 2008 B116th and RBB" on 16:16:14 03/06/08 Thu

Here's how it went:

I posted my information to:
<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://mta-nyc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/mta_nyc.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php">http://mta-nyc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/mta_nyc.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php</a>

It read:
The bus was at the stop at approximately the time indicated. I came from across the street from the rear of the bus. The door was closed. The bus was stopped at a RED TRAFFIC LIGHT. As I approached the door of the bus, the driver looked directly at me. At that moment, the traffic light changed to green and, still looking at me, the driver left! I was able to knock on the door of the bus but the driver just looked at me and kept going!

We are paying MORE these days for our MetroCards and I believe I'm correct in supposing that because we pay more, the very least we can expect is courtesy! It's nothing more or less than any employee of the MTA and its subsidiaries and affiliates would expect when they pay for services.

It appears to me that this driver doesn't particularly like his job and I believe you would do him a great favor by seeing to it that he no longer operates a bus or has a job where he has to be in contact with people.

For the most part, the drivers on the Q22 route are amazingly coureous and considerate. This one is the rotten one in the bunch.

I could have been injured because of his stupidity! And believe me, I will remember him, remember this incident and talk of it frequently, if for no other reason that to make others aware of the danger drivers like this put your (MTA) "customers" in.

FYI There is an open internet forum about the MTA and I will be posting this incident there as well. I hope you will address the matter appropriately before someone gets injured or killed.

Incase anybody's interested I got the following back immediately:
The reference number for your e-mail is \'080306-000256\'
Thank you for your inquiry.

Now let's see how long it takes them to CORRECT this situation. I could have been run over!
