There are those stars who are strong enough ride the waves of their success, but some like Ms. Spears, start to fall early in their careers and because their sense of self was never developed or affirmed, they get pulled by the undertow. At this point in time, she is truly hanging on by threads, like a woman being stoned in the public square. The vultures watch with uncovered eyes and it makes their day to see her humiliation.
