I definitely agree with Doron that although the Watergate scandal was only one incident in the course of Nixon's presidency, it did eliminate him from being known as a good president. This scandal was not a small one and it was very political in nature. Breaking into a political headquarters is a very serious crime and the people will remember Nixon trying desperately to cover up his misjudgment. In regard to presidents people tend to remember the scandals more than the accomplishments.
