Yes the Watergate scandal does eliminate Nixon from being considered a good President. Nixon did good things for the United States, for example, he brought an end to the war in Vietnam and was started peace talks with Russia and communist China during the cold war. The Watergate scandal was the last thing he did in his presidency. So instead of remembering Nixon for the good things he did the public will think of him as a bad president.
