Although very controversial, it is my opinion that President Eisenhower's most successful foreign policy action while in office was to the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. During this time the President thought of a new approach to involvement in this conflict. The use of the Radio Free Europe broadcasts administered by the CIA were very effective and useful in crushing this revolution by the Soviets and was taken care of in an efficient and civilized manner. I believe that this action was most successful because these radio broadcasts were found as an alternative to full on military action and any alternative to hostility that can take care of the issue is a good one.
