I think that President Eisenhower's most successful foreign policy action while President of the United States was to stop the fighting in Korea. There was communist fighting between different forces and he said that he would to go to Korea and end the war himself. As a result of his peace seeking mission an armistice was decided to be signed. North and South Korea were now separated by a neutral zone at the 38th parallel. This was very important because it shows that modern warfare could be stopped without having to use nuclear weapons like bombs.
