So I asked someone else who has a parent who works as an orthodontist and they said that giving a patient oyxegen when they get braces does seem a bit odd they did say that they could see it being good. They said that they could understand the choice and concept because for many people having your mouth open for the amount of time it takes for an appointment can be stressful and simply saying breath through your nose doesn't always help.

Also as far as I can remember during my orthodontist appointments nothing much happened i just lay there well they worked on my teeth. Usually I sat with my legs crossed and nobody said or did anything. They did say that if I would like to I could take my shoes off though, my dentist would do the same as well.
