The surgery was about 45 minutes. When I was first brought into the operating room they put me on the operating table and put stickers on my chest with wires to monitor my heart beat and a blood pressure cuff on my arm as well as a little red light on one of my fingers. Then the surgeon came in and went through a pre surgery checklist making sure that everyone in the room knew what surgery I was having and who I was. After that they put a mask on me to make me sleepy and they gave me a needle in my arm as well as in my belly button so they could start the operation as soon as possible.
