The doctor has now got his sentence which is 21 years in prizon.

He got sentenced for 152 counts of misconduct, of which 70 counts of rape.

But by rampe it is not understood what people usually think is rape. Norwegian law has a very wide definition of this term. Any kind of penetration into body parts of another person without permission or decent perpose, can be called rape.

The rapes he got sentenced for were examinations were he used non-standard-gynecological objects or methods.

But he also got dismissed for several of the cases.

More impotantly, over half of the cases he got reported for, were not allowed to be part of the trial. That means that more than half of the patientss that felt abused did not get their case proven.

Also he was very eager to send patient to more specialized, but medically unneccesary assessments, and those ddoing these, got not involved in the case.

It looks like the police and other authorities want to reduce as much as possible the information about his total enterprize.

This is one reason I think that the doctor was a key figure in an intimate surveillance program directed at the Norwegian population, but used his role to extend his tasks to a sexual hobby project too.

One should also be aware off that a sentence of 21 years in a Norwegian court does not mean 21 years in most cases. I think it is a dummy senteence to make the population satisfied, while the doctor himself will get out of prizon after a few years with some dummy explanation.
