I am a male. It happened when I was a school-aged child in the period 1980 - 1989, in western Europe. I was taken to the school doctor by medical staff and examined by school doctor and with a female teacher also present. The teacher had expected i was gay.

OVEVIEW OF THE EXAMS

They did an orthopedic exam.They examined the organs inside my chest.They examined my organs inside my stomach. They examined my genitals.They examined my rectal zone. They did a general examination of my pelvic zones.

They inserted instruments into my urinary opening. They inserted instruments into my rectal opening.

They performed a psychological exam.They made interrogations about my social relations and my daily life.

I was totally naked.

My positions during the exam: all fours.

Any strange equipment or arrangements in the exam room? plastic penis.


THE UROGENITAL ASSESSMENT

They used a catheter to collect urine. They inserted a scope to look into my bladder.

They palpated my outar male genitals and testicles. They slid down my foreskin and spread my urinary opening.They performed a ultrasound exam on my genitals including my testicles.

They collected a semen specimen with instruments inserted into my penis.They collected a semen specimen by means of prostate massage through my rectum.

They let me masturbate to collect a semen specimen.

RECTAL EXAM

They spread my cheeks and examined externally my rectal zone.They examined my rectum with an inserted finger. They inserted a speculum into my anus to examine it internally.They took specimens from my rectum or bowel with some tube-like instrument.

They took some measurements inside my rectum or bowel with a long tube-like instrument. They looked in through my rectum with a rigid optical scope.

They examined my rectum and terminal colon with a flexibel scope.

SOME REMARKS

What is your opinion about this experience? did not know its done that way.

They catheterized me without any good purpose as I could see. I was called in for quite another thing but they also examined my genital and urinary zone.

DIAGNOSIS AND FOLLOW-UP

Psychological or social counceling as follow up: gay as female teacher expected


COMMENTS

It seems this exam had 3 purposes: To estblaish the stage of body development. To assess if the boy was developing a sexual orientation according to the normality scheme of the school or society. To find out if he had sexual relations that the school or society did not approve.

It looks like the teachers had been ordered to spy on the kids to see if something of the kind was outside the normality scheme, and report to the school doctor.

It is not clear from the account if the councelling had the purpose of curing his gay orientation or not, or if it had the purpose of making him accept it and live well with it.

This school obviously was very well equipped for doing internal examss on kids, which is the case in somee schools in some societies.

It is not clear in which exact country this happened, but this way of handlling and assessing the develoment of boys, with a female teacher as central actor, is something known from Scandinavia.
