BOY, 13yo, North America, surgery for hernia , urethral blockage and appendix removal

I am male. The procedure happened as early teen, 13, in North America, in the years 2000-2009, in a childrens hospital. My mom brought me. I had an exam or surgery in my stomach area when I was 13. My doctor found that I had something called a hernia and I needed an operation to fix it. My mom and doctor said that, well I was being operated, on they had to remove my appendix and fix a blockage in one of my uretors.

PREPARATIONS FOR THE PROCEDURE

I was given sedative medicines through my mouth. I was given medication intravenously. They gave me gas through a mask. I was unconscious all the time. The procedure happened in a hospital. Hernia repair.

ARRANGEMENTS AFTER THE PROCEDURE

They checked my urine output alot after. I had UVs for pain medication and some saline. No breathing tube, just a mask. I had catheter, so that they could make sure I was peeing ok. Heartbeat monitor. I was examined every two hours the first day I was out of surgery, after that until I went home it was every six hours.

SYMPTOMS AFTER THE PRoCEDURE

I had pain, irritition or other problems in my mouth. I had pain, irritation or other problems in my urethra or bladder. The time for the procedure or before waking up was at least twice as long than expected. When I woke up I had pain in my throat and my belly.

COMMENTS

This was a surgery where hernia was one purpose, and that they fixed an urether and removed the appendix also. It looks like they made the incision in such a way that they could look for other problems than just the hernia. I suspect he did not have any appendix problem, but that they took it out to harvest tissue for other purposes than the good of the boy.
