It's been about money from the beginning with pretty much all of the Boerboel registries both South African and US registries. Most US registries began because BB owners and importers didn't want to pay for the SA registration so they made up their own...the SA registries were only created for the export of the breed so SA breeders could make money off of the exportation of the breed to other countries...Boerboels shouldn't have been exported in the first place because of all the "other" crap regarding standards etc...the breed wasn't old enough to be exporting IMO...but all in the name of Money right?... Down to selling puppies for top dollar out of accidental litters etc...pretty much everyone involved in the breeding of Boerboels is out for some cash one way or another...sounds nice to say it's about improving the breed and there ARE a very few out there who have helped to improve the breed as far as health goes but...few and far between. When a person can sell pet pups who are not registered for $1000.00 a pop it's nearly impossible to keep the making of money OUT of the equation.

I will now step down from my soap box...

Sara
