Many patients compliants, as you know Sheila, they expect us to cater to them the minute they want whatever they want. Well, that ain't happening. Just do what we are suppose to do to the best of our ability, and we'll be okay. I hate it when the aides go on break, just after we start our shift. We then have to do their jobs and ours. We did brought it up to our NM but I don't think much is gonna happen. HGow is your unit? How many pts you are responsible for? Eric, just like Shabeen a said, eveything will fall into place. Even with the videos and all, I find that I learn while on the job. Right now you may feel overwhelmed with all these info that you are learning and absorbing, but no worries. You'll get use to the unit and learned their routine. Unexpected things will always come up, if you don't know or unsure always ask, anyone, the ward clerk, other nures and doctors. You will be fine. Sheila, I see you on the unit, we should chat more, even when we are busy--we'll find the time and relax even for a few minutes..........many of our patients are crazy, but think that they are depress already that they are in the hospital. Some are nasty, but we need to accept the kind of people that they are. Why am I giving you advice--I am sure you already know that. See you on the unit. Professor D, Lada says hello.
