My apologies and Im lost in the vortex of work lately. As you all known semester just started and I was busy with SV also doing their hospital annual reports. I posted a long respond here but it didnt went through before.
Mel- thanks for keeping the light lit on this forum and keep the torch burning. Would you believe in few months you will 1 year already? Time flies huh? I know you can do it, survive all challenges and still shine like a star in the midst of the darkness. Nursing is tough, but you have all the qualities to succeed. You are a tough cookie, and you know that. Keep it up. Whats up with Lada?
Shabeena- you are doing fine. Dont underestimate yourself. Be strong, brave and wise. Ive heard good feedbacks, so you are in the right track. I saw Kinoshi, Littleton and the Tibetan (forgot her name)...they requested a recommendation letter and thats the least I could do for them. Maybe months ago when there was vacancy I could help them- but now, it is very difficult due to the freeze hire in most hospitals. Even Rafka looking for months now.
Eric- you are doing great too. You are an experience RN so show them what you got. You know you are more smarter and better than some of the ICU nurses...show them what you are made of. They gave me 408 Koreans again and Im excited. Dont lose your dreams...it is yours now to make it a reality.
Yes we are lucky, very shocking and depressing that a lot of people are losing their jobs. A lot of new graduates cant find jobs for months now. Sometimes we need to bite the bullet, take a deep sigh and just take the bull by its horn..why? because remember, the are thousands of other nurses will die to have your job. It is very competitive nowadays. So hang in there, make the most out of it. Due to budget cuts by the Federal and State in most hospitals, some hospitals are cutting staff, not hiring or closing.
Ok be good and keep me posted. Maybe lets have a President's Day or Pre-Valentine lunch. Im in SV every Weds or some Mondays....lets find out our common time.
