Date Posted: 15:49:42 01/04/09 Sun Happy new year everyone..sorry not to paticipate furum. I am still on day shift orientation. The tension is still on everyday. Especially in emergency situation. Now I am taking one patient but usually we have two patients. I think people in my unit are so good. they are always saying to me to be relax. but as you know It is not easy because I need to listen attentively to what my preceptor or doctors are saying to fully understand. As a matter of fact, I don't know whether I am doing well or not. but I am doing my best to adjust. Most routine is similar to what i did in my country. but the name and pronunciation of medication make me confused. For example, last week in doctors rounding, one of doctors said "I will stop the propofol and start advil." I thought why pt needs advil. but It was not advil but ativan. ^^ Anyway I am learning a lot and I feel I am adjusting little by little. Maybe I need more time to adjust than others but I am not gonna worry about it. thanks for your advices!! I hope all you guys always have happy in 2009.
