 We used to get really great coverage by the Herald and WLOX.

At the begining of the season there would always be a pull-out section like they do for football and every Thursday there was a Meet the Player article and general team news, usually taking up 1/2 to all of the page.

WLOX did a special when we hosted the All-Star game as well as an indepth behind the scenes during the Kelly Cup race. They used to always have player interviews on the news.


As Alex stated the sports coverage has gone to almost nothing on WLOX, we get a blurb at 10 p.m. with sports. The Herald used to have pictures of ALL the High School football games now it's hit and miss. Sports coverage doesn't seem to be the priority anymore. I asked someone that worked at Herald once why the coverage is so slim and I was told that most people go online for their sports news now instead of waiting for the paper, the news stations probably feel the same way.
