"They don't buy ad space from us. Why should we do 'FREE' advertising for them by running feature or in-depth articles?"

It's a catch-22. I've told the (old SW) Staff about the comment. I don't know anyone on the new staff to tell about this other than the one I did mention it to last week.

Also, I agree with the above, there is a certain "Ham hock" in the Sports Dept. who doesn't care for hockey one bit and makes it known.

Now that Brad Kessie is station manager at WLOX, we might get a little more air time. I know he and Dave Eliot (anchor on WLOX) like our games and come often.

I have also told them (Staff) repeatedly that they are missing out on a huge amount of untapped potential ticket sales by ignoring Hancock County in MS and Slidell/St. Tammany Parish in LA. Hancock County numbers around 40,000. St. Tammany Parish, over 100,000. Most are not aware there's a hockey team nearby. It is not that far of a drive. 25 minutes from Diamondhead in MS, about 1.25 from Slidell-with a lot of traffic.

The (old) staff seem to concentrate on Eastern Harrison and Jackson counties, which is tapped out as far as getting a lot of new committed fans. I've heard the season Ticket Party is to be held in Ocean Springs. That is not exactly centralized to the Coliseum or the fan base, is it?

I know, I keep mentioning the "Old Sea Wolves Staff". I did speak to one of the new ones last week regarding several of these comments and he admitted to not being from here and not knowing where anything is or what activities they can do to promote the team.

So, How do we help? I've already supplied them with a list of major contacts to their West, and suggested a more centralized area for the pre-season party.

I've offered my help, but been rebuffed. So tell me what I can do as a Non-Booster Club member, but a season ticket holder for several years? I already talk about the team to anyone who will listen.
