Hi Leslie! I'm so glad Diana connected with you, and I thank you for your interesting post.

I agree about some of the outstanding teachers we had at WHS, even if at the time they seemed oh so serious and so demanding of all of us. They made us learn all the stuff correctly. I can attest to the fact that many people in rural Maine never had such good teachers, as their grammar and spelling skills are unbelievably bad!

I hope you might be able to locate some more people. This is great, as more and more respond. I will keep updating the list of found people!

Leslie, thanks for sharing that story about your gandparents old Chevy. My dad loved that car for many years. After my mom died, it became one of his new loves. He had it fully restored and often drove it in the Westboro parades, together with one of his several new lady firends. He attended classic car shows throughout New England and brought all of his 50 trophies with him wherever he displayed the car. The other entries were always a little intimidated when he would open the trunk to show them. After having car trouble and being stranded in the mountains of New Hampshire following a show, my brothers and I had to take the car away (and his license) at 96. The car, however, is still in our family and my older brother David, has it. When I see him next, I will share your story with him.
