Susan, thank you for sharing this sad story with us. We all feel terrible about the loss of Kathy. She was everyone's good friend and always had a big smile on her pretty face. I do hope that overall she had a very happy life, and it is comforting to know that you, as a special friend, were there with her to the very end.

Please know that it was the loss of Kathy that inspired us to reconnect with each other and get this website and related correspondence going. I'm just sad that it happened too late for her, as she would have loved it. She will always have a special place in our hearts.

Thank-you for the story about Kathy. Since I lived about a block from her, we often walked to school together and after I got my drivers license, she would ride to school with me every so often. Her passing was very sad news for me.
