I think it was between Lisa, Laura and Emmy and ws probably very close. Lisa won talent hands down so that's where she picked up the extra points. And you're right.... she more than likely would not have been the winner if the final ballot had been used. I did not care for Emmy's song........to me she looked like she was having trouble with it and "screamed" a lot. Hope Laura does Spivey's.....she looked great. No name 06:15:27 03/23/09 Mon

I know everyone has opinions and everyone is entitled to them, but I can't believe you didn't like that song. It's fine that you didn't, please understand me - I'm not criticizing you for that. It's just the one thing I heard everyone talking about after the pageant was over. That it was a perfect song choice, that it was the best she had ever performed, etc. There were people around us (and I wasn't there to support anyone in particular) that thought she might even win the talent award. I did like Emmy's song and thought she sang it well; however, I think that the song she sang several years ago showed her range much, much better. I'm not sure that a country song is the way to go in a pageant since not everyone enjoys country. But again, Emmy did a great job with it. I am sure the judging must have been extremely close. I think if Emmy McLean had worn her hair down, instead of pulled back the entire night, she would have nailed the winning spot. Puleo was striking and also did a great job with her dance. The song Emmy sang at GS is not a country song. It is a Broadway song from Showboat. However, I think it was her best performance to date, and I had her to win with Puleo and then Mace. But...I wasn't a judge. -- No name, 23:38:25 03/23/09 Mon
