The director stated that the scores were very close and that they had to break ties with the beauty scores. I would say that maybe the others could have beat your dd by a tenth or something. I know that my daughter scored well also, but did not supreme. I am not upset, the competition was tough. I think that the judges liked more natural looks, less makeup, less flashy dresses, etc. That was their choice.
