Date Posted: 16:28:47 07/30/09 Thu In reply to: Seeker 's message, "How about Catholics?" on 06:01:22 07/30/09 Thu No is my primary Mary responce, all puns intended, but yes is a little included. Jesus taught that forgivness is availble for all sins but the rejection of the Holy Spirit, thus the mistakes any religion makes are forgiveable. Catholics who earnestly seek to worship, love and follow God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are no less for their love of Mary. To a major degree other groups within the universe of people seeking to follow Christ to God may ignore Mary out of historical perspectives on sex roles. Graven images are those that have to do with dieties other than the one true God. Thus to the extent Catholic shrines, saints and so forth are dedicated to Christ's God they should be no problem. Of course there remains the problem as to whether or not triunists do worship Christ's God but I will leave that to another day. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
