Does this mean what I think it does? That God wants gays to be killed?

If we are supposed to follow the Bible literally, how about the ban on graven images and "no Gods before me", when the Catholics worship the Virgin Mary and utilize many graven images. Are they breaking commandments?

If you listen to Christian interpretations of the Bible (as I was always taught), they believe the Earth is only 7,000 years old and people co-existed with dinosaurs before the flood.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

As for the literal interpretation of scripture, I can see where the old testament such as Genesis was written as morality lessons. But how about the new testament? Supposedly, much of this was actuall the words of Jesus.
