He thought he didn’t have to tell her, thought he could get away without alerting her to his presence, the bastard had failed to remember they were connected not just by physical attraction but by breed, she knew when another was around and she certainly knew when he’d been lurking. The fact she had to hunt him down was annoying – infuriating even. She had confessed a love for this beast and he was tossing it around like it was nothing. She watched him sail through the air, the smug look indeed wiped clean, a look of rage now in place. Her own smug smirk appeared as the semi driver laid on his horn. Wheel gripped the hope of turning to the side possible, but he reacted too late. The sound crunch of metal crinkling was hard even as the squeal of brakes turned to a scream of denial – he hadn’t been able to stop. Silver voids had watched all of this with a smirk, the crinkling of the hood as the truck had bared down and the trailer tipping dangerously only to be righted when she moved forward and pushed it back upright. The truck was destroyed but at least the cargo the truck carried could be carried on elsewhere. “Yup I’d say you’re getting old. Can’t even avoid a lousy truck.” She was pushing buttons know. Knowing she’d waited to the last opportune moment to throw him, giving him a 1% chance if that to have even avoided the collision. She was bashing his ego and ability even though she knew he was deadly and powerful. Serves him right he hadn’t even called her while gone. The man truly was a bastard. .+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+.+ Khalid ~Beware the Demoness~ | |
