The kiss hit his cheek so softly and so lightly it sent a chill up his spine, down his arms, before branching into each fingertip. His whole body was electrified. He stood rigid for a second so surprised by her advancement but so alive from her brazen attitude. He understood that she had meant it as thanks for saving her. And that the alcohol he could smell from her ivory skin was a huge contributor in the fact that they weren’t like oil and water at this moment in the darkness. But was there more to it? Did she simply do it to be polite or was she opening the stage for him to react?

His body was tense which gave him the strength needed to pull her back before she got too far away from his face. He simply turned his head and their lips brushed. It was nothing provocative or racy. He simply brushed thin lips against her rosier thick ones. Their eyes were closed in that second but as he pulled away he opened them. He needed to see if she was okay with that kiss and if not, he wanted to be able to see her swing so he could duck.
First kisses lit such an intense fire in your stomach. Telcoltl could attest to that. From the moment their lips had separated he was fueled to do it again. But he’d wait to make sure he wasn’t going to get slugged.
