(ooc: yeah, let's get this show on the road. xD and omg, sorry about Ice and Flash. Dx I was at a friend's house and I just got back so haven't gotten round to it yet, but I will. Again. x_x' I have the attention span of a walnut.)

"It's only eleven o'clock. Are you up for a walk or something? Or do you need to get home?"

"Need to, probably. Do I want to? Hell no. So yeah, by all means let's take a detour." He was beginning to run out of delays, he suddenly realised. Maybe after this one he'd go wander around some more. Hang out at the subway, maybe. Or alternatively he could just go home. It wasn't as if anything life-threateningly unpleasant was waiting for him there, he just... didn't like it. But then again, some people would give their right arm for a roof over their heads- at least Max still had one.

As Midori left the money for the bill he got up too, and he could hear the scraping of chairs as the three men at the table looked as though they were about to leave too. Was that something to worry about or did they just happen to finish at the same time as Midori and him? Even if it was perfectly innocent, Max didn't like the vibe he was getting. "I'll walk you to your hotel." he said, holding the door open for her.
