The wounds on his face caused her eyes to widen, instantly feeling horrible. She hadn't thought she'd attract the cougar...hadn't even thought about it, in her joy of the run. Now she had gone and gotten her new friend wounded, and herself as well. Wonderful.
His paw boxed her ear and she looked at him sorrowfully, trying to express her apology for what had happened. She didn't know how he'd been able to telepathically connect to her, but she doubted she held the same ability and was stuck with body language. His tongue slightly stung the wound as he licked it, her skin twitching under the touch.
She followed him at a lopes out of the woods, eager to be in the safety of her human form for a while. Lord knows, she'd caused enough trouble as a cat for the day. When the got to the truck, she stopped by the driver's door, closing her eyes.
In an yellowish flare, she shifted back to the olive skinned beauty that was her true shape, quickly opening the truck's door to retrieve her clothes. At this point, she didn't suppose she cared if Craig saw her...but she sure wasn't about to take her time, lest someone else showed up.
Her shoulder had slowed to a small truckle, and she thought of forgoing the shirt all together. She couldn't see walking back to her apartment in her bra, though, so she slipped it on, feeling the fabric grow soggy back as it sopped up the blood. Fully dressed, she went to the passenger door and opened it, letting him get in before closing it. She then got back in herself and started the engine. She frowned at him for a moment. "I'm sorry..." She said softly, before starting the truck and heading for the apartments.
