Very different draft for the Bombers vs. previous years... in 2020; 2xfirst rounders and 2xsecond rounders
2019; 1xfirst rounder and 1xsecond rounder
2018; 3xfirst rounders
2017; 2xsecond rounders (took 0 first rounders at draft but subsequently traded in 2)
2016; 3xfirst rounders and 1xsecond rounder

This year, first pick was pick 44....

Pick 44 - Sam Banks
In all honesty most of the guys I had earmarked for this pick were gone. Wanted to take a KPF and loved the look of Williams, but Roos beat me to the punch. Surprised he went so low in the AFL draft and was a bit disappointed when he was gone in SL! Went with the next highest on my list (Banks). Good stats, and decent ball use, without any standout features... Tigers have done well with these types of players; Graham/Pickett etc. so hoping Banks comes on also. Strongly considered Lohmann and Warner

Pick 59 - Stengle
Again was going to take McCarting as a KPF/Swing for the future, but Giants beat me to it! Then looked at Stengle, Bergman and Burgoyne. Ended up taking Stengle in the hope he can get his head in the right spot, and become a decent player at the Cats!

Pick 68 - MP400
Dart board throw... none of the kids left were on my list, so was weighing up a few of the already listed guys or a speculative pick. Think he can become the high half forward/rotating mid role that he played at WAFL, but not expecting much more then last years output in terms of scoring!
