more a case of coaches naming good scoring mids in key positions. If you're low on KP players one week due to injuries and/or non AFL selection you should be able to use a FWD or Defender who sometimes covers those positions for their own club.

I'm personally never low on KP players (outside of bye rounds) but say I was missing a KPB one week, I should be able name Maynard there without penalty. Or even Jake Kelly as they can play tall but are rarely named there.

I agree it shouldn't be up to the opposition coach, but they should have a say. That's why I suggested mods and opposition coaches be consulted. I think most times an agreement would be made.
