And I can say this now without looking like I am pushing to be allowed something that will benefit me. Dusty will not play again, nor will the Sharks after the next round.

Why is Richmond allowed to play Martin as a full forward if they feel they want to, bit Sharks can't?

Why can Dogs play Bontempelli FF and The Spurs can't. They are very good midfielders, but their forward craft is not questioned in the AFL.

If we are so concerned with teams being so strong they have midfielders of quality of plenty to be through the pockets of strong sides, why not apply a cap to stop that?

I suppose we are like the AFL in one way, trying to fix a problem that doesn't actually fix it, rather than bringing in what obviously would fix it.

In SL we bring in balance rules, which disadvantages poor sides moreso than good ones. The stars in the good sides actually show they can manage to play multi roles, whereas poorer players are less likely to be allowed multi roles.

I seen one top side that has players mid/fwds as well as mud/Def in the balance sheet. And these players can realistically play all these roles. They are utilities. Or better sides have swings. Poorer struggling sides have no such player, and no swings.

So in effect, balance rules make good sides better, while sides that struggle with injury and poor form are getting the penalties.
