A 48 hour trade period is over before it even started.

Maxxy and I were bother in agreeance (albeit I found it pointless - which I expressed - but still happy for one to go ahead)... and the reality is a Trade period does not improve or hinder any coach/team... you either get involved or don't.

This suggestion was not a "New Rule" or something that would actually set a club back... those are things we should vote on (and I honestly thought we have done that in every case in the past)

This is year 8 by the way D9... and I was voted in by the majority... and I have never made a decision without considering the views of others (and I've put a fuckin shit load of time and effort into improving the how the day-to-day operates for SL)... PLEASE GIVE UP ON MAKING OUT IT'S USE VS THEM.

Aaron, absolutely man, we'd have to apply that general rule on this trade period (unlike others) - cant have clubs finish trade period with more/less than a 50 man squad... much easier to apply this when there's a draft afterwards... but then again is this just an common sense rule? The few guys I've spoken to were of that view but there may be some coaches who hadn't thought about it, dunno?

In Closing... D9 I absolutely take your view/concern, let's address it going fwd.
RULES - Require majority VOTE
OPERATIONS - Just leave it completely up to Mods, Shy/Max/Myself have been working like a very well oiled machine in the past 2 years (roughly) and it's taken a huge load off the rest of the guys in to enjoy the game - I hope (happy for others to disagree/raise their concern).

We always say "let's discuss at end of season" when it comes to potential rule changes... and then in offseason 50% of coaches are not responsive... rule changes however, ideally shouldn't be implemented mid-season... so let's maybe try and get a solid 2 weeks of discussion during AFL finals to tie off any loose ends / concerns people have. Then we have a trade/draft period for coaches to address anything their squad needs to meet changes (if any) made to rule.

Personally, I just want to move on with the season we have in front of us... Whippets first time in the top 4 since taking the reigns (YEP, 8 fckn years) so we do wanna enjoy it a little.
