There's no harm in shooting an email to a mod if you're not clear on something, we get it all the time and most of the time the coaches response is "I thought so, just wanted to check"...

Yes, you still have MSD trade period.. so yeh, you have an opportunity to bring in a 1st or 2nd round pick so you start the 2021 trade period meeting the rules... Watch this space.

The rule was in place to ensure if anyone drops off and leaves a team without a coach, the new coach/care taker will at least have an early pick in the upcoming draft... Current state KINGs, that would not be the case.
