>Hello Jordan,

Don't take this as an insult but quite often there is a misunderstanding between American and European people. Also quite often this leads to things said and written by both sides that are regrettable. Personally I think it is silly for anyone trying to state the american way or european way is the better way. It depends on culture. If you care to take a look on my Website on the page I copied for you you see a very good american product that is not selling very well in the european market.

http://www.reanimo.nl/produkten/rescue-tape

This is because the american business insists that their product is advertised in the american way and that just does not sell well in europe. If these americans were willing to try a style of marketing that is more suited to the european taste they would sell more. Mind you, the product in itself is probably the best you can get worldwide for the purpose it is made for. I am sure europeans make the same mistake on the other side of the pond. So I think it is better always not to comment very negatively on someone else's Website especially when one does not know why that site has been designed that way. Besides I think a breeder of Boerboels should be able to suppress his emotions from an -european- marketing point of view. He is selling controlled power, not a loose cannon. Just my opinion.

Having bred dogs I am curious about the effects of very close relationships and I was wondering whether you in this stage of your breeding program feel the need of introducinng blood from related dogs like a Mastiff or Tosa and the like. I do not know enough about genetics to figure that out for myself. I myself have always tried to get as much different bloodlines as possible but look for similarities in the characteristics I wanted. For me behaviour has always taken priority over looks so my view on dog breeding differs a lot from many others. Until now I have been very lucky as my dogs were quite healthy and their owners had no problems.

Yours kindly, Gijs
