She saw the movement out of the corner of her eye and her mouth opened as her smile grew brighter. Aha! An ambush! She knew it! She lifted herself to face the collision; her feet under her to keep her balance with the light intended attack. But she wasn’t all fang and tension. She still expected to see Gavin’s smiling face. Her ears were perked and her pink tongue lolled out of her mouth. As her purplish eyes adjusted to the blur of white (?!), Kosses’ heart dropped and her stomach clinched. Kosses was fast; but, not fast enough. The alabaster damsel slammed into her so hard that the first thing Kosses realized was that she was being pummeled into the ground. The alpha heard her own welp but had no recollection of making the sound. The queen could feel the wet soil under her shoulder and side. She was flat against the forest earth with the white blur atop her. Now, instinct took over and Kosses fangs finally appeared. She snapped out and caught the first thing she could. It was an alabaster leg. Kosses’ jaws crunched down with an unrecognizable force and she snarled. Her own legs kicking into the air trying to unbalance the other so she could get back up meanwhile she snarled and growled in shock, fear, and distress.

(Man, this blue is brutal on my eyes today!)
