Natural Law is about how people "ought" to behave in the absence of Conventional laws.....which are directly related to "reason". This is why they are termed "natural" and thus distinct from man-made laws. Reason, is perhaps the most important key.
Natural laws are therefore "just" and conventional laws can actually be unjust.
