i shall go graze on my own now, father. i won't stray far, though. don't worry.
*she nuzzled him briefly before slipping into the shadows swiftly. not only did she feel uneasy around a stranger, but it would be better for the pair to have some time on their own. why was this mare so tense? she wondered. true, she was tense as well. yet why was this mare - white devil - so tense around her father? did she not know him well enought? she left the questions unanswered, for they were none of her business. yet she couldn't help but wonder...*
