 Vaping isn't as attractive or sexy or as self-destructive as smoking. So it's a shame if kids are vaping when they might otherwise have been smoking. However, I doubt whether that's the case. It's much harder and less generally acceptable for kids to start smoking cigarettes these days. By all reports vaping is very common in schools now. It contains nicotine, it's addictive, and it's a major success story for the tobacco companies who have found ways to covertly market vapes to children. So there's a lot to be cheerful about.
