Some of you will remember the twin girls, Renae and Lilly who once posted. They went to a private girls’ school and were permitted to smoke with some exclusions. They were not to be seen smoking in uniform, in public and they were not to smoke within a certain perimeter of the school grounds. If they turn up at school and had been smoking along the way they were to wear civilian clothes and to arrive in plenty of time to change into their school uniforms before the first period commenced. From all accounts they were very popular and had about 5 school badges between them on their blazers including school vice captain, they were either or both prefects either sports captain and I think Lilly was class captain and Ren the vice captain and school captain. They were transport prefects. That was when they were 12 and in 6th grade at that school. I remember a time when they posted on the board, they just wanted to get away from school as quickly as possibly and meet boys from an all boys’ school at the local coffee shop where they went every day after school. They were still in school uniform smoking and drinking coffee when a teacher walked by and saw both of them sitting on a boy’s laps smoking and saying a few choice words. Apparently it was their second warning and if they were caught again that’s when they were suspended. On that occasion, the forfeited their school badges. Sometime later when they returned to school, Lilly and Ren were ultimately expelled after another sighting of them by teachers in their uniform near in their school uniform smoking. Lilly put her cigarette in her pocket by her thigh near the school emblem on the school blazer and burnt a hole in it. Lilly then put the blazer in neighbour’s garbage bin by the side of the road and Belinda asked her where her blazer was. Lilly replied “it got stolen mum.” It’s obvious that that neighbour took it to the school and Belinda was called up to the principal’s office A couple of years later Belinda ended up sending them to a co-ed school that allows teenagers to smoke and made special arrangements for Ren and Lilly to smoke at the same school. They have a choice to wear uniform at that school or turn up in sneakers and jeans for the day. She posted the URL for that on here a year or so ago. I’ll look for that URL so you can have a read for yourselves. I’d love to hear from the twins again, they were so badass.
