I feel your daughter's pain and your pain. I can just see the relief on her face as she took up your offer when you gave her a cigarette. Have a mum and daughter moment together, go have a coffee together in a coffee lounge and smoke each way in the car.
Yes kids invariably say they've only been smoking for a week. They say that out of embarrassment. I said the same and my mum said to me "That's a relatively short time, you can give it up before it takes a strong hold of you" I nearly died in the arse, lucky for me, she never meant it.
