From the time they were 14, Belinda spent hours on their appearance to make them look at little older when she took them to lunch so they could smoke in outdoor cafes. She did their hair, makeup in eye liner and eye shadow,she used blush on them, they had false long fingernails and red nail polish, lip-liner and lipstick as she those colour was more suited tto their blonde hair. It was common knowlege that Lilly was the most bad arse twin as she seemed to be the instigator of everything bad but Ren was merely minutes older than Lilly. They were both popular among their peers from what I read but before they attended the aboove school, they went to a Sydney Girls' Private School but were not permitted to smoke either on the way to school or on the way home; nor were they able to smoke within a 400 metres perimeter of the school in uniform. Despite that, they were forever getting caught smoking against these rules. They, together with their schoolgirl friends would meet up at the local coffee shop after school and sit with boys from an all boys school. On one occasion Lilly was caught sitting on a boy's lap smoking when a teacher walked by and caught her red-handedd taking a drag. Lilly put the lit cigarete in her school blazer pocket and burnt a hole in it, right on the school emblem and she put that blazer in a neighbour's trash that was on the street, on the way home. Belinda asked her the whereabouts of the blazer but Lilly said "someone stole it." A neighbour took it to the school the next morning and Belinda was called into the principal's office. Inside the collar of the neck of the blazer, was Lilly's name - SPRUNG. On that occasion all girls from their class were suspendeed for 4 weeks because they were caught smoking. Lilly received an extra two weeks suspension for sitting on a boy's lap. Ren and Lilly had to hand in their school badges, between them they had 9, Lilly 5 and Ren 4 from school vice captain, both were prefects, one was class captain, the other class vice captain, both were transport prefects, school sports captain and school sports vice captain.
