Subject: The problem doesn’t lie with Ulsters rules, if a dancer is eligible to dance pre-lim according to the rules then so be it. More………………..
In reply to: Fair 's message, "Unfortunately this is not the rule in the north for us doing ulster... to fo prelim it doesn't matter if you have won these dances... its if you haven't recalled in world's. An Comhdhail can't even come up.with one rule for the organisation. That's why this is causing confusing. It's totally unfair on prelim dancers" on Thu, Oct 03 2024, 6:56:33

The issue being raised here is not about dancers who are eligible under the rule that they have not recalled to the 3rd round at worlds in the previous 2 years despite being open, dancing pre-lim at their provincial. The issue is the cheating week in week out where dancers are dancing pre-lim, winning their dances, and instead of progressing to open as the rules state, the following week are back out dancing the same dances they have already won in pre-lim and winning them again. 3 times in 4 weeks my daughter has had 2nd’s and 3rd’s in her solos and cups, but guess what the person or persons in 1st and 2nd have won their dances and haven’t moved up, instead they are cheating and dancing again. Had they moved up my little one would have won. Multiple schools are doing this, and I’ve had enough. So I have videos of all the results and if it happens again in the next 3 weeks I will lodge a complaint with the feis organisers, show the video proof and unfortunately the dancer will be banned. The dancer is not to blame but the teachers allowing it, encouraging it or the parent is to blame. Whilst it is the dancer who will be banned, miss provincials and worlds it’s very unfair that teachers are not punished. Everyone is quick to complain about cheating but they do nothing about it, but I will be, I’ve had enough of wasting my money to dance with cheats. So if your dancer fits in this category tread very carefully over the next few weeks because a lot of dancers are going to be disappointed when they are banned. Hopefully teachers are shamed also it might make them think twice. STAMP OUT CHEATING
